Like a garden

by Vanessa

"Let my beloved come into his garden and eat his pleasant fruits. I am come into my garden, my sister, my spouse; I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk. Eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved" (Song of Solomon 4:16b – 5:1).

We are like a garden, where Jesus, the Beloved, comes to gather precious spices. These spices are, in fact the fruit of our tender words to Him and our praise of Him. Jesus comes, then, to eat and drink in our garden… to eat and drink whatever he finds there!
