In the midst of my house

by Jean-Louis Coraboeuf

"I will behave wisely in a perfect way; O when will you come to me? I will walk in the integrity of my heart in the midst of my house" (Psalm 101:2 Interlinear).

The psalmist wanted the Lord to visit his house, so he made these personal choices:

  • I will set no wicked things before my eyes,

  • I will hate and take away the work of those who turn aside,

  • I will take away from me the perverse heart,

  • I will not try to know evil,

  • I will silence whoever secretly slanders his neighbour,

  • I will not endure him who has high eyes and a proud heart,

  • I will look with favour on the faithful of the land around me,

  • I will work with whoever walks in a perfect way,

  • I will not dwell with whoever works deceit,

  • I will not tolerate whoever utters lies,

  • I will silence all the wicked every morning.

Welcome in my house!
