In
the midst of my house
by
Jean-Louis Coraboeuf
"I will behave wisely in a perfect way; O when will you
come to me? I will walk in the integrity of my heart in the midst
of my house" (Psalm 101:2 Interlinear).
The psalmist wanted the Lord to visit his house, so he made these
personal choices:
I will set no wicked things before my eyes,
I will hate and take away the work of those who turn aside,
I will take away from me the perverse heart,
I will not try to know evil,
I will silence whoever secretly slanders his neighbour,
I will not endure him who has high eyes and a proud heart,
I will look with favour on the faithful of the land around me,
I will work with whoever walks in a perfect way,
I will not dwell with whoever works deceit,
I will not tolerate whoever utters lies,
I will silence all the wicked every morning.
Welcome
in my house!
