Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

"The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness has seized the hypocrites: Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?" (Isaiah 33:14).

We see in this context that the judgement of God will come upon men at the return of Jesus Christ. God is our Judge, our Lawgiver, and our King, so He will save (Isaiah 33:22):

• he who walks righteously,

• he who speaks uprightly,

• he who despises the gain of oppressions,

• he who gestures with his hands, refusing bribes,

• he who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed,

• he who shuts his eyes from seeing evil (Isaiah 33:15-16).
