He is able to save completely

by Jean-Louis Coraboeuf

"Therefore he is able to save [sozo] completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them" (Hebrews 7:25 NIV).

The Greek verb sozo means 'to save', 'to be healed'. For it is by grace that we are saved [sozo] through faith, it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8). Seeing how the woman having a flow of blood was healed, Jesus said to her, "Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has healed [sozo] you, go in peace" (Luke 8:47-48 NIV).

Peter tells us that by the same act, the death of Jesus on the cross, we are saved and healed (1 Peter 2:24). This is why Jesus Christ is our High Priest officiating in the House of God and interceding with God for our salvation, of course, but also our healing, to be perfect and complete. Like James we can say that the prayer of faith will heal the patient who comes to God (James 5:15).
