Today by Jean-Louis Coraboeuf "Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden [skleruno] your hearts…" (Hebrews 3:7-8 Interlinear). The Holy Spirit is commissioned to convince the world of sin, the judgement and justice (John 16:8). He has been appointed by God to bring souls close to Jesus (John 6:44). That is why each man will have the opportunity one day to hear His voice. That day is called Today! That very day, the Holy Spirit, who knows the right time [kairos] for each man, will make His call heard to repent and receive God’s pardon through Jesus Christ, in order to enter the peace of God. Not responding to that call will harden the heart [skleruno, to become ossified] and eventually clam it up. |
