Good works

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand for us to perform them" (Ephesians 2:10).

'Good works' have been prepared beforehand by God for us. Yet, we will not be able to perform them without having been re-clothed as a 'new man', to be created according to God, in the justice and righteousness of Jesus (Ephesians 4:23).

Just as the Father sent his Son to accomplish His works, Jesus-Christ sends us to fulfil the works that our Father has prepared for us. 'Good works', then, will be the same as those Jesus did (Isaiah 61:1-3); but in our case, we will begin with our own healing and restoration (Philippians 1:6) before reaching out with them to others.
