This is the testimony

"And this is the testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son" (1 John 5:11).

The testimony lies not in a system, nor a method, nor in a doctrine, in what we say or do, but in eternal life found in Jesus Christ. Therefore, only he who believes in the Son of God carries that testimony in him (1 John 5:10).

Also, God’s testimony is greater than that of man (1 John 5:9). He who has the Son of God in him, has eternal life (1 John 5:12); his testimony will not come from himself, but through The One who lives in him, namely Christ! If Christ is not in us, then our testimony is in vain!
